There is no argument, procrastination is a thief of time. Here are some little tips on how to avoid it.

Create a list of things to do. Yes, make a list of all big and small tasks that you can do throughout the day; break activities into small pieces if necessary. Then, as you work throughout the day, check each item on your list. You will feel a growing sense of pride when you check your list and see all you have accomplished. I make my list on my phone.

Focus on those items that usually bring about procrastination, not things that you do on a regular basis.

Adjust the time for your items to be done and write your to-do list in a comprehensive way. For example, on the list you write “write the article through 01:30” instead of just “article.”

Re-evaluate the list to sort your data based on the highest priority. Then, address the key items before looking back to make things smaller.

Keep a notebook in hand before starting your day. Yes, this may seem old school but it works. If putting it in your phone works better for  you – then do that. Write down every thought that comes to mind while working. Any brand or things you want to do at that time. Try not do it but instead put it on a list and do it later. This helps you to avoid getting into the “deferral area.”

Complete the hard stuff. Get a grip and just do it. At the end, it boils down to taking action. You can do all the strategizing, planning and hypothesizing, but if you don’t take action, nothing’s going to happen.

It’s easy to see only the giant list of things to do, rather than the anxiety-free feeling of accomplishment at having finished them. As you work, focus on all the free time, relaxation, money, whatever it may be that you get when you finish. This will help you to stay on task and work towards your goal.
